TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the Indian law, in relation to the entering of lands
owned or occupied by any nation, tribe, or band of Indians by a person
and law enforcement agreements with the Seneca Nation
PURPOSE:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to L.2025, C.665.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section one of this legislation amends the underlying chapter by clari-
fying that people passing through Native or tribal lands on a highway,
road, path, etc., are not considered to have entered those lands.
Section two clarifies that the agreements the Seneca Nation may enter
into with local law enforcement do not supersede any existing Laws,
rules, or regulations nor do they carry the force of Law.
JUSTIFICATION:
This legislation is a negotiated change to the underlying chapter.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
Chapter of the Laws of 2025 amending the Indian law relating to non-In-
dian trespass and drug trafficking activities within Indian lands, as
proposed in legislative bills numbers S.8127 and A.8289, takes effect.
