TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the workers' compensation law, in relation to extending
paid family leave benefits to certain construction workers; and to amend
a chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the workers' compensation law
relating to extending paid family leave benefits, as proposed in legis-
lative bills numbers S. 50 and A. 4727, in relation to the effectiveness
thereof
 
PURPOSE:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to L.2025, C.651.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter by making technical
amendments, changing the effective date, and clarifying the eligibility
for benefits related to the paid family leave period.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This legislation is a negotiated change to the underlying chapter.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the workers' compensation law
relating to extending paid family leave benefits, as proposed in legis-
lative bills numbers S. 50 and A. 4727, takes effect.
