TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the county law, in relation to permitting local health
officials to request copies of certain reports and records
 
PURPOSE:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to L.2025, C.662.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter by clarifying that cross-
county requests by a local health officer are permitted where there is a
clear nexus between the requesting district and the case.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This legislation is a negotiated change to the underlying chapter.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the County Law relating to permit-
ting the commissioner of health to designate local health officials to
request copies of certain reports and records, as proposed in legisla-
tive bills numbers S.7818 and A.7411.
