TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the economic development law, in relation to technical
assistance provided to municipalities related to college and university
closures; and to repeal section 153 of the executive law, in relation
thereto
 
PURPOSE:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to L.2025, C. 631
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter by changing the agency
that will provide technical assistance from the Department of State to
the Department of Economic Development.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This legislation is a negotiated change to the underlying chapter.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the executive law relating to
providing technical assistance to municipalities, as proposed in legis-
lative bills numbers S.1525 and A.2007, takes effect.
