TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the real property law, in relation to requiring the
modification of restrictive covenants prior to the sale of real property
 
PURPOSE:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to L.2025, C.578.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter by aligning the statute
with the unlawful discriminatory practice definitions under the Human
Rights Law.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This legislation is a negotiated change to the underlying chapter.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the real property law relating to
requiring the modification of restrictive covenants prior to the sale of
real property, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3178-A and A.
1820-A, takes effect.
