TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the mechan-
ical insulation energy savings program
 
PURPOSE OF BILL:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to provisions of L.2025,
C.363.
 
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter to limit the application
of the mechanical insulation energy savings program to certain building
types and to limit the size of competitive grant awards.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Pursuant to approval memo 3 of 2025, the Executive and Legislature have
reached agreement on modifications to the underlying chapter.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS FOR STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS:
None
 
EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the public authorities law relating
to establishing the mechanical insulation energy savings program, as
proposed in legislative bills numbers S.2457-B and A.3999-B, takes
effect.
