TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the public health law, in relation to prohibiting charg-
es for the issuance of a certificate of still birth or pregnancy loss;
and to repeal certain provisions of such law relating thereto
 
PURPOSE:
This is a chapter amendment that makes technical changes to provisions
of L.2025, c.510.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter by conforming it with
current law and moving provisions to a more appropriate section of the
public health law.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This legislation is a negotiated change to the underlying chapter.
 
LEGISLATIVE HISTORY:
Chapter amendment to Chapter 510 of the Laws of 2025. S.1807-A and
A.2311-A passed the Senate and Assembly in June 2025.
 
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.
 
EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the public health law relating to
prohibiting charges for the issuance of a certificate of still birth or
pregnancy loss, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 1807-A and
A. 2311-A, takes effect.
