TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the public health law, in relation to foreign adoptions
 
PURPOSE:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to the provisions of
L.2025, C.509.
 
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter by increasing applicabil-
ity to foreign born adopted persons of any age.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This legislation is a negotiated change to the underlying chapter.

Chapter amendment to Chapter 509 of the Laws of 2025.
 
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS FOR STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT:
None.
 
EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a
chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the public health law relating to
foreign adoptions, as proposed in legislative bills numbers 5.3765 and
A.1955, takes effect.
