TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of
the state highway system to Corporal Kermit Davis
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
Designates a portion of state route 30 over Wolf Creek in the Village of
Castile, county of Wyoming, as the "Corporal Kermit A. Davis Memorial
Bridge"
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1. Amends the highway law by adding a new section 344-s
Section 2. States the commissioner of transportation shall provide for
the installation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state high-
way system as dedicated pursuant to section 1 of this act.
Section 2. Provides the effective date.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Corporal Kermit Davis served his country in the United States Army
during World War II and gave the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of St.
Vith.
