TITLE OF BILL:
An act permitting commercial sales during the Adirondack Family Book
Festival at the John Brown Farm State Historic Site in North Elba, Essex
County; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration
thereof
 
PURPOSE:
To temporary allow the use of the John Brown Farm State Historic Site
for a book sale during the Adirondack Family Book Festival
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Allows DEC and OPRHP to issue permits for a book sale at the John Brown
Farm State Historic Site in North Elba, Essex County during the Adiron-
dack Family Book Festival on August 16,2025, subject to other permitting
conditions.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
The Adirondack Family Book Festival is Brown Historic Site. However,
they are Farm because it is a State Parks site, allows for authors to
sell their books a great community event at the John prevented from
for-profit sales at the which will hurt this event. This bill on site
during the event.
