TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend chapter 322 of the laws of 2014 relating to joint
bidding on contracts for public work projects, in relation to extending
the effectiveness thereof
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
The purpose of this bill is to extend New York City's joint bidding
authorization.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1 Amends section 7 of chapter 322 of the laws of 2014, relating
to joint bidding on contracts for public works projects to take effect
immediately and expire December 31st 2026.
Section 2 establishes an effective date.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Joint Bidding makes it possible to complete coordinated public right of
way projects that also include other infrastructure upgrades. This would
be the second time since 2014 that the authorization has been extended.
