TITLE OF BILL:
An act in relation to authorizing Daniel Montalto to take the compet-
itive civil service examination for the position of police officer and
be placed on the eligible list for employment as a full-time police
officer for the town of Shawangunk
 
PURPOSE:
Authorizes Daniel Montalto to take the competitive civil service exam
and be placed on the eligible civil service list for employment as a
police officer in the town of Shawangunk
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1: Authorizes Daniel Montalto to take the civil service test and
be placed on the eligible list for the town of Shawangunk police depart-
ment
Section 2: Daniel Montalto shall otherwise be subject to the merit and
fitness requirements Section 3: Effective Date

JUSTIFICATION:
Mr. Montalto along with the town of Shawangunk have requested this bill,
so that the town can hire Mr. Montalto as a full-time police officer, as
he is currently working for the town part-time.
