TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the town law, in relation to permitting the town of
Warwick to utilize preservation funds for the implementation of water
quality improvement projects
 
PURPOSE:
Allowing the Town of Warwick to utilize community preservation funding
for water quality improvement projects
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1: Amends section 64-g of the town law to add and define "water
quality improvement project" within the purposes of the fund; allows up
to 30 percent of the fund to be utilized for the management and steward-
ship program; allows up to 10 percent of the fund to be utilized for the
water quality improvement projects.
Section 2: Sets Effective Date.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill amends and adds components to the Town of Warwick's community
preservation fund at the Town's request.
