TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend chapter 511 of the laws of 2016, amending the tax law
relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax on the village of Mount
Kisco, in relation to extending the provisions of such chapter
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
Extends provisions relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax on the
Village of Mount Kisco until September 1, 2027
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1 extends the expiration date of chapter 511 of the laws of 2018
from September 1, 2022, to September 1, 2027
Section 2 provides the effective date
 
JUSTIFICATION:
The Village of Mount Kisco has requested the introduction of this legis-
lation to extend the authorization for the village to extend its 3%
daily room tax on any room in a hotel, motel, or similar place. This
tax has been used to raise revenues to support municipal expenses and
will continue as such.
