TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to making tech-
nical corrections to the adjudication of certain traffic violations; and
to repeal certain provisions of such law relating thereto
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
To provide technical clean-up of various provisions of section 237 of
the Vehicle and Traffic Law relating to the adjudication of photo
enforcement liability.
 
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
Section one repeals subdivisions 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 of
section 237 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law and enacts a new subdivision
10 to consolidate provisions relating to the adjudication of notices of
liability issued under red light, school and work zone speed, bus lane,
toll, school bus stop-arm, truck weight, and bus operation-related photo
enforcement programs.
 
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ORIGINAL AND AMENDED VERSION (IF APPLICABLE):
Not applicable.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Consolidating adjudication provisions of the various photo enforcement
programs into a single subdivision will ensure clarity in the law.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect immediately.
