TITLE OF BILL:
An act authorizing New Hour for Women and Children LI, Inc. to receive
retroactive real property tax exempt status
 
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this legislation is to authorize the New Hour for Women
and Children LI to file an application for exemption from real property
taxes
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1. Provides that the assess or of the town of Islip can accept
an application for a real property tax exemption from New Hour for Women
and Children LI, Inc. for the 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025
assessment rolls.
Section 2. is the enacting clause.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
New Hour for Women and Children LI is a not for profit tax exempt organ-
ization that owns real property located in Suffolk County at 248 Crooked
Hill Road, in the Town of Islip.
 
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
None to the State.
 
EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect immediately.
