TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend chapter 381 of the laws of 2010 amending the tax law
relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the village of Rye
Brook, in relation to extending the expiration thereof
PURPOSE OF BILL:
To extend the authority of the village of Rye Brook to impose a room
occupancy tax not to exceed 3W.
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
Section 1 extends the authority of the village of Rye Brook to impose a
room occupancy tax until September 1, 2027.
Section 2 sets the effective date.
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill extends the current village of Rye Brook occupancy tax. The
village of Rye Brook has used these non-property tax revenues to offset
capital expenditures.
