JUSTIFICATION::
The village of North Haven is largely a residential area which is situ-
ated near the busy business district of the village of Sag Harbor. In
recent years, the village of North Haven has experienced a notable
increase in both its year-round and summer populations leading to
heightened vehicular traffic. Concurrently, they have seen a significant
rise in pedestrian, bicycle, and recreational activities on their roads,
especially among children. In addition to the village's implementation
of traffic calming measures, the ability for the village of North Haven
to lower the speed limit to 20 MPH would further bolster these efforts,
ensuring a safer environment for residents and visitors.
This legislation would apply to the following portions of roadway in the
village of North Haven: Actors Colony Road, Bayberry Lane, Corwin Road,
Cove Road, Coves End Lane, Fay's Road, First Street, Fresh Pond Road,
