TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the general municipal law, in relation to permitting the
village of Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester county, to lease certain sports
field fences for advertisements
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
The purpose of this legislation is to permit the Village of Croton-on-
Hudson to lease certain sports field fences for advertisements to raise
revenue.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
SECTION 1. A new section 77-k is added to the General Municipal Law,
which will allow the Village of Croton-on-Hudson to place advertising at
Dobb's Park, Duck Pond Park, Firefighters Memorial Field and David J
Manes Memorial Field.
SECTION 2. Establishes the effective date.

Not applicable.
JUSTIFICATION:
The village of Croton-on-Hudson wants the ability to lease space on the
fences at several sports fields under their jurisdiction for the purpose
of advertising. This will increase revenue for the Village of Croton-on-
Hudson Recreation and Parks Department, which will be utilized to
improve and better maintain said fields. This may also reduce the tax
burden on village residents.

This is new legislation.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS FOR STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS:
Increased revenue for the village of Croton-of-Hudson.
EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect immediately.
