TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend chapter 55 of the laws of 2022, amending the general
municipal law and the town law relating to authorizing fees and charges
for emergency medical services, in relation to making such provisions
permanent
PURPOSE:
Makes certain fees and charges related to emergency medical services
permanent.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1 amends § 4 of part kk of chapter 55 of laws of 2022 is to read
as: This act takes effect the ninetieth day after becoming a law and
shall apply to health care claims submitted on or after such date. This
act shall expire and be deemed repealed four years after it becomes a
law.
Section 2 amends this act takes effect nineteen days after becoming a
law.
JUSTIFICATION:
This will continue to have certain fees and charges permanent for emer-
gency medical services and allow authorities in control of emergency
medical services to establish the fees. This will ensure that all fee
and charges are being paid, this will take effect nineteen days after
becoming a law and will apply to health care claims being submitted on
or after such date. It is the purpose of this act to ensure all fees and
charges are being paid properly.

None.

Nineteen days after becoming a law.
