TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend chapter 296 of the laws of 2023 amending the tax law
relating to the imposition of an occupancy tax in the town of DeWitt, in
relation to extending the effectiveness thereof
 
PURPOSE:
This bill would extend the effectiveness of an occupancy tax in the town
of DeWitt.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1 - Amends the tax law relating to the imposition of an occupan-
cy tax in the Town of DeWitt
Section 2 - Effective date.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill would provide essential funding for the Town of DeWitt for
local tourism infrastructure improvements as well as the promotion of
local tourism.
