TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in
relation to establishing certain requirements for district leadership
teams and school leadership teams
 
PURPOSE:
This legislation would require each District Leadership Team and School
Leadership Team to appoint one student representative to serve as
members of such teams for the New York City public school system.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section One: Requires each District Leadership Team and School Leader-
ship Team to appoint one student representative to serve as members of
such teams for the New York City public school system.
Section 2: Effective Date
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Students should have a voice in the New York City public school system.
