TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the election law, in relation to application deadlines
for military voters
 
PURPOSE:
To ensure the deadline for special presidential ballot applications
conforms with the deadline for regular absentee ballot applications
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Amends section 11-104 of the election law to provide that special presi-
dential ballot applications must be mailed to the Board of Elections no
later than ten days before the election.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Changes to these provisions would make it consistent with regular absen-
tee ballot application deadlines.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeeding the
date on which it shall have become a law.
