TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the state finance law, in relation to establishing the
"climate safe and responsible bank procurement act"
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
This bill creates the "climate safe and responsible bank procurement
act."
 
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
Section 1: Short title.
Section 2: Legislative findings.
Section 3: Section 2 of the state finance law is amended
Section 4: Subdivision 2 of section 161 of the state finance law is
amended
Section 5: The state finance law is amended by adding a new section 65-a
to 22.
Section 6: Severability
Section 7 provides the effective date.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill provides transparency and accountability in the procurement
process relating to banking and climate change.

This act shall take effect immediately.
