TITLE OF BILL:
An act granting retroactive Tier II membership in the New York state and
local police and fire retirement system to Giuseppe T. Rosini
 
PURPOSE:
To grant retroactive tier II membership in the New York State and Local
Police and Fire Retirement System to Guiseppe T. Rosini.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1. Provides that Guiseppi T. Rosini be granted Tier II status in
the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System
(NYSLPFRS).
Section 2. States all past service costs shall be borne by the Wading
River Fire District.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Guiseppe T. Rosini was employed in October 2004 by the Wading River Fire
District. For reasons not ascribable to his own negligence (it was not
offered to him), he did not file a membership application in the retire-
ment system until December 15, 2014 which gave him Tier VI status
instead of Tier II where he would have been able to file an application
at the time of employment. Mr. Rosini shall, within one year of the
effective date of this act, file with the state comptroller a written
request to grant him Tier II status.
