TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the agriculture and markets law, in relation to funding
for the agrivoltaics research program; to amend a chapter of the laws of
2023 amending the agriculture and markets law relating to establishing
the agrivoltaics research program, as proposed in legislative bills
numbers S. 7081 and A. 4911, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
 
PURPOSE OF BILL:
This is a chapter amendment that makes changes to provisions of L.2023,
c.712.
 
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
This legislation amends the underlying chapter to attach the program to
an appropriation.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Pursuant to approval memo 52 of 2023, this chapter amendment references
the existing appropriation to support research on agrivoltaics.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, section one
of this act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as
a chapter of the laws of 2023 amending the agriculture and markets law
relating to establishing the agrivoltaics research program, as proposed
in legislative bills numbers S. 7081 and A. 4911, takes effect.
