TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the general municipal law and the public authorities
law, in relation to county-wide shared services panels
 
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this bill is to clarify eligibility of the newly estab-
lished South Nassau Water Authority under section 239-bb of the general
municipal law.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1. amends section 239-bb of the general municipal law by adding
title five-B of article five of the public authorities law.
Section 2. amends title 5-A of article 5 of the public authorities law
by renumbering and creating a title 5-B
Section 3. is the enacting clause.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill will clarify language under Title 5 of article 5-A of the
Public Authorities Law to ensure funding for the South Nassau Water
Authority and North Shore Water Authority.
