PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
Establishes the general aviation task force to study measures that may
be implemented to improve general aviation operations in the state of
New York.

SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1 establishes the general aviation task force to conduct a study
on measures that may improve general aviation in the state of New York.
Section 2 specifies the composition of the task force, the compensation
of its members, and its powers.

JUSTIFICATION:
Aviation can be a great tool to improve tourism and the economy across
New York State, especially for the North Country and upstate economies.
General aviation aircraft can increase accessibility to the less-trav-
eled areas of our state. This would allow more people to explore the
more remote treasures throughout in our state, creating new economic
opportunities.
This bill would create a task force to study how the State could better
leverage general aviation to improve intrastate tourism and increase
travel and commercial exchange between the different regions in New
York.
