Existing law: (1) authorizes a court to issue a temporary order for protection against harassment in the workplace; and (2) provides that such a temporary order must not be issued without the giving of security by the employer to pay for certain costs and damages that may be incurred or suffered by the person who allegedly committed the harassment if the person who allegedly committed the harassment is found to have been wrongfully enjoined or restrained. (NRS 33.270) Section 1 of this bill removes the requirement that the employer must provide such security before a court may issue a temporary order for protection against harassment in the workplace.
