Existing law requires the State Public Works Board of the State Public Works Division of the Department of Administration to adopt regulations establishing procedures for the awarding of a contract for services which assist the Division in the design and construction of a project of capital improvement based on a final cost of the project which the contractor guarantees will not be exceeded. (NRS 341.161) Section 1 of this bill requires the Board to adopt regulations establishing such procedures to authorize the awarding of a contract based on a provable cost of a portion of the project.
