Existing law sets forth various powers and duties of counties and cities. (Chapters 244 and 268 of NRS) Sections 1 and 2 of this bill authorize a board of county commissioners and each city council or other governing body of an incorporated city to establish a program to provide housing for persons experiencing homelessness. Sections 1 and 2 require such a program to provide: (1) a housing facility for persons experiencing homelessness that consists of certain individual units and a community kitchen; and (2) supportive services for the persons experiencing homelessness who reside in the facility.
