Existing law sets forth the mandatory subjects of bargaining that are subject to negotiations between a recognized employee organization and a local government employer for the purposes of a collective bargaining agreement, which include insurance benefits. (NRS 288.150) Section 1 of this bill specifies that, for purposes of collective bargaining between a recognized employee organization and a local government employer, insurance benefits include, without limitation, insurance benefits for the dependent of a local government employee.
