The Department of Business and Industry, Division of Insurance regulates insurance companies and other insurance-related entities, as well as individuals and business entities conducting the business of insurance and related businesses. This regulation program includes licensing of individuals and companies, ensuring compliance with financial solvency requirements and market standards, reviewing insurance policies and contracts, reviewing proposed rates for approval, investigating complaints regarding licensed individuals, investigating potential insurance fraud, and assisting Nevada consumers in their dealings with the licensed persons and entities.
