The Motor Carrier Division is responsible for the administration of special and motor fuel suppliers to ensure proper collection and distribution of Nevada fuel tax revenues; registration and licensing of all commercial vehicles over 26,000 pounds based in Nevada or apportioned for interstate operations under the International Registration Plan (IRP) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA); delinquent revenue collections; and audits of motor carriers and fuel suppliers to provide education and verify compliance with Nevada laws, regulations, IRP, and IFTA.
