The Behavioral Health Prevention and Treatment program partners with community-based, public, and private nonprofit organizations to reduce the impact of addiction as well as establish comprehensive mental services in Nevada. The program is responsible for developing community infrastructure, statewide leadership, and strategic planning. The program provides prevention activities related to suicide and other behavioral health conditions. The program reimburses providers for the provision of responsive mental health, substance use, and addiction services when those services are not reimbursable by Medicaid or another third-party payer.
