The Division of Plant Health and Compliance protects plant health by monitoring for disease and invasive species. Agricultural Registration and Enforcement protects the food supply, agriculture, Nevada lands, environment, workers, and the public. The Pesticide Program monitors groundwater for pesticide contaminates, inspects and licenses pest control companies, and certifies applicators. The powers and duties of the Division of Plant Health and Compliance are established under NRS chapters 561, 552, 554, 556, 557, 576, 583, 586, 588, 453 and 555.
