The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is responsible for child protective and child welfare service delivery in rural Nevada and overseeing urban county-operated child protective and welfare services. DCFS provides children's mental/behavioral health treatment and residential services in urban Nevada. DCFS provides juvenile justice services including state-operated youth correctional care centers and the youth parole program. DCFS also provides victim services to victims of crime through subawards and offers compensation to victims of crime. Mission: The DCFS, in partnership with families and communities, provides support and services to assist Nevada's children and families in reaching their full human potential.
