The Department of Public Safety Investigation Division is a law enforcement agency with statewide jurisdiction dedicated to public safety. The primary mission of the division is to provide comprehensive investigative services upon request to all criminal justice agencies; to support federal, state, local, and private sector partners through the collection, analysis, and dissemination of relevant and timely information on terrorism, criminal activity, and other public safety hazards; and to deter and disrupt the trafficking and availability of narcotics and other dangerous drugs statewide through the supervision of multi-jurisdictional task forces, within 14 of Nevada's 17 counties.
