The Nevada Health Authority account includes funding for the administrative costs of staff and vendors for the agency, including those staff and vendors that are eligible for federal funds under Title XIX and Title XXI of the Social Security Act. The agency's mission is to improve access to quality and affordable health care in Nevada through new purchasing strategies and sound policies; to promote equal access to health care at an affordable cost to the taxpayers of Nevada; to restrain the growth of health care costs; and to review Medicaid and other state health care programs to maximize potential federal revenue.
