The Nevada Financial Disclosure Act requires a candidate for nomination, election or reelection to a public office for which the candidate will be entitled to receive annual compensation of $6,000 or more for serving in the office to file a financial disclosure statement that contains certain information not later than the 10th day after the last day to qualify as a candidate for the office. (NRS 281.561, 281.571) Section 1 of this bill requires a candidate for judicial office to include an indication of his or her designated political party affiliation on such a financial disclosure statement. Section 2 of this bill places section 1 within the Nevada Financial Disclosure Act.
