This bill appropriates money to the Alliance for Childhood Diseases, doing business as the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, to establish a Pediatric Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant Program in this State. Section 1 of this bill appropriates money to the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation for: (1) the infrastructure and equipment necessary to operate the program; and (2) the costs of applying for and obtaining accreditation from the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy. Section 2 of this bill appropriates money to the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation for the costs of operating the program during its first 2 years of existence, including staffing and administration costs. Section 3 of this bill requires the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation to: (1) submit reports to the Interim Finance Committee concerning expenditure of the money appropriated by sections 1 and 2; and (2) allow the Legislative Auditor to audit the books and records of the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.
