Existing law requires the Secretary of State to prescribe standard and special forms for applications to preregister or register to vote. (NRS 293.507) This bill requires the Secretary of State to also prescribe by regulation the content of and instructions for completing a voter registration form to be provided to title companies, apartment associations and property management companies in this State for distribution to persons who complete a real estate transaction or enter into a lease in this State at the time of closing or at the signing of the lease. Such a form must allow a person to register to vote, update his or her voter registration information or cancel his or her voter registration in this State.
