This bill appropriates funds from the general fund for various departments in New Mexico for fiscal years 2026 and 2027. For fiscal year 2026, it allocates $2.7 million to the juvenile justice division and $7 million to the protective services division of the Children, Youth and Families Department. Any unspent funds at the end of the fiscal year will revert back to the general fund.
For fiscal year 2027, the bill provides $8 million to the Children, Youth and Families Department for the implementation of a child welfare information system, $4 million to the Public Education Department for school improvement, $2 million to the Department of Finance and Administration for payments to the Pueblo of Zia, $4 million to the Aging and Long-Term Services Department for the New MexiCare program, and $6 million to the Department of Transportation for the rural air service enhancement grant program. Similar to the previous year, any unexpended balances will revert to the general fund at the end of the fiscal year.
