AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE ON NEW MEXICO HIGHWAY 128 IN LEA AND EDDY COUNTIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred million dollars

($300,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the

department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal years

2025 through 2028 for road construction, reconstruction, improvement and maintenance, including acquisition of rights of way, planning and design, on New Mexico highway 128 from its intersection with New Mexico highway 31, in Eddy county, east to its intersection with New Mexico highway 18, in Lea county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2028 shall revert to the general fund.
