AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE HEALTH CARE AUTHORITY DEPARTMENT FOR PROGRAMS IN SANTA FE COUNTY THAT REFER PEOPLE IN NEED TO RESOURCES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

          A. Eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the health care authority department for expenditure in fiscal year 2025 for a program utilizing a network of navigators in Santa Fe county to connect people in need with community resources to improve individual and community health outcomes. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2025 shall revert to the general fund.

          B. Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the health care authority department for expenditure in fiscal year 2025 for a referral and diversion program in Santa Fe county for people impacted by substance use disorder and suspected of low-level, non-violent offenses. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2025 shall revert to the general fund.
