AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 380.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty million dollars ($350,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal years 2025 through 2027 for acquisition of rights of way, planning, design and construction and to match federal and other state funds for transportation infrastructure projects on United States highway 380 from milepost 158 in Chaves county to the Texas state line. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.
