AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS ON A CERTAIN PORTION OF UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 380.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty million dollars ($250,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal years 2024 through 2027 for acquisition of rights of way, planning, design, reconstruction, construction and to match federal and other state funds for infrastructure projects on United States highway 380 from milepost 158 in Chaves county to the Texas state line. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.
