AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR DEVELOPMENT AND FACULTY HIRING FOR THE SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Eleven million three hundred eight thousand eight hundred dollars ($11,308,800) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2025 through 2027 for development and faculty hiring for the university of New Mexico school of public health. No more than:

                (1) one million four hundred sixty-five thousand dollars ($1,465,000) shall be expended in fiscal year 2025;

                (2) five million one hundred sixty-seven thousand dollars ($5,167,000) shall be expended in fiscal year 2026; and

                (3) four million six hundred seventy-six thousand eight hundred dollars ($4,676,800) shall be expended in fiscal year 2027.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.
