Specifically, it mandates that these organizations ensure their records and verification processes accurately reflect the most recent affirmative or revoked donor designations before proceeding with any actions related to organ or tissue donations.

Previously, while organ procurement organizations had access to donor designations, there was no requirement for them to verify and rely on the most current information.
