This bill mandates that State agencies in New Jersey must redact handwritten signatures from any documents before they are published on the agency's Internet website. It applies to documents published on or after the bill's effective date and requires that any documents previously published that contain handwritten signatures be archived. These archived documents can be republished on the agency's website only if the handwritten signatures are redacted.

Additionally, the bill clarifies that the public's access to archived documents will not be limited, in accordance with the Open Public Records Act. The definition of a "State agency" is also provided, encompassing all principal departments in the executive branch and their various subdivisions. The bill is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
